3D scanning / CAD / Prototypes
From the object
to the model.
Physical parts, sketches and early ideas become geometry we can work with.
Rebuilding
the geometry.
A part does not need an existing CAD file to enter the workshop.
We can 3D scan physical parts to capture their shape, then use measurement and CAD to develop a model for reproduction. Worn edges, mounting faces and missing sections need interpretation alongside the scan.
The model can preserve the original geometry or incorporate agreed changes. Fit and use determine the level of detail the job needs.
Prototypes &
proofs of concept.
An early print gives an idea a size, a shape and a place in the hand. It makes assemblies easier to discuss and puts the awkward details in front of everyone involved.
We work with clients to develop that first version, review it and make revisions. A sketch, a reference object or an existing model can form the starting point.
The construction model shown here began as a way to explain a work proposal. Its separate printed parts made the arrangement visible before it became a finished desk model.
